Rousing, tuneful and lively, Dvořák's Slavonic Dances are ever popular with concert audiences.

Bartók's evocation of seduction and brutality in The Miraculous Mandarin is a highly symbolic statement about love, acceptance and fulfilment. It is one of the most sensational and exciting of 20th century scores, graphically reflecting the political chaos and turmoil that ensued in Hungary following the first World War.

For Brahms' lyrical and dramatic 2nd Piano Concerto, a bravura work of symphonic scale and intensity, we are delighted to be joined again by solo pianist Tom Poster, 'an increasingly important and versatile figure on the UK musical scene'.
